OMT Spurs v Athletico

which makes it both unfair and unsafe.

It has been an issue this season at that stadium, and AM players have complained several times. There are articles about it on t'internet. I suspect the players have been wearing different footwear for sometime. Obviously our fantastic 'advance' team failed to see them. I do wonder if we actually realised that we had an insider in our squad who could've given us all sorts of info...

Hilarious that some people still want to blame Ange for injuries that have occurred since he left the club.

The only long term injuries when Frank took over were Dragusin (ACL) and Kulu (knee injury sustained from a tackle against Palace).
I think its head in the sand time for you not to attribute the frankly ridiculous condition the squad has been in since half-way through Ange's first season. Its way beyond average for PL in all 3 seasons inc this one and killed our league campaign in all 3.

There is a difference between a player that has been passed fit to play with no issues and a player that is passed fit to play but managing long-term chronic issues. Most of our players have demonstrated an exceptionally increased propensity to miss games due to injuries and fitness and many are out long term.

Ange himself admits that injury risk is part and parcel of the way he trains and plays. Players and medical staff have adapted where he's been previously but nowhere before had the level of intense physicality, competitiveness and pace than the PL did

I think you should read this.

Kulu, Dragusin, Solanke and Udogie. Maddsion arguably as he had a break down on his come back from his own longer term injury.

Not blaming Ange just reminding you of who was missing.

if it is indeed a recurring issue then it seems many teams fell foul of lack of prep so maybe it’s not that easy to prepare for- added to that is as you say Gallagher would have known. Why would he have kept a schtum?

Barcelona and another team complained. The stories are out there. I can post them if you want. In fact, even worse, the company AM used to relay the pitch after NFL stuff are the same company we use for our pitch (we also have had traction issues). Besides, even if it was down to the pitch having been over - watered 30 mins prior to KO, I think we should be onto that sort of thing.

If only we'd signed Olise when he was tearing it up (similar to Dele) at Reading instead of all the stupid twunts (like Gil, Solomon and Werner) we've squandered £millions on wages upon since then!

Griezmann did say afterwards that “We took advantage of some of their mistakes, either technical or because of the pitch, which is very slippery and we are used to it,”

Belief is no replacement for quality or specifically in this match not making fudging bine headed mistakes. Athletico didn't even need to be good, because we literally just gave them free shots on goal due to 2x goal keeper brainfarts and VDV being VDV. None of that is motivation related or even coaching related, its just players making brick mistakes.

Mate, IMO you really, really need to leave the 'quality' argument aside.
We are what we are and we have what have. That is it! There is no mythical Hoddle/Maddison hybrid coming to save us. We have to find ways with the lot we have.

This is now a mini-season.
Someone needs to get in their heads and tell them what is done is done, that what will be is in their control, and that they are actually really decent players who can comfortably get the necessary wins.
In fact, belief is ALL we have right now.

And yes, belief is ABSOLUTELY a product of coaching as when you step onto the pitch, you are not nervous to make the mistakes which you inevitably end up making!!!!

Between that and a bricky support staff not recognising the issues of the pitch (which in turn could very well alter the tactics you employ in even the first 10-15 minutes of the game until you get used to it) the players are being underserved by weak and inefficient 'management'.
