*** OMT Spurs v Aston Villa ***

A bit of class there from Alli, he is an exceptional talent.

Not many players would just control it and drill it crisply into the corner.
 
So many times we have struggled to get it into the forwards ... who have then passed it back whence it came.

The goal came when Eriksen did just that, then a bundle/tackle and it fell to Eriksen. His quick feet finally jinked round a man, easy pass to Rose (overhit a bit) and a good cross, goal. Lovely. But I just feel we could do that kind of thing way more often, they are so vulnerable if we can just work a 1-2 or simple move.
 
Alli looks a genuine genuine talent.

Quite shocked to look at the current league table and see us "only" 5pts behind Man C and Arsenal. Despite not being really happy with the quality of our play this season, this unbeaten streak, the youthful side and our current league position bodes well for the season hopefully.
 
I imagine a half-time talk will be good for the lads. We went up 1-0 very quickly and Villa are trying. I'd like to see Mason on at some point and perhaps Lamela switching sides or going central?
 
2-0 Alli with superb control on his thigh before slotting the volley into the corner. Great time to score just before half time.

We haven't really got out of 2nd gear but don't really need to against a poor Villa side. Our midfield has been really sloppy. Eriksen And Lamella particularly have offered very little crispness in their passing. Mason for Lamella would be the obvious sub at half time.
 
Man the future is so bright for us. It's heart warming, mouth watering goodness. Let's pile it on second half, I don't want to see any let up and if I know Poch (which I don't) he'll want the same.
