HT: Aston Villa 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs have not won a Premier League match outside of London since a 3-2 victory at Bournemouth on 29 October.

Agreed. But Son urgently needs to focus on getting his timing right first. He's been playing into Villa's high-line tactics all game.

He was told by Conte to miss one on ones, even when offside - Consistency throughout the season.

The offside flag down until it plays out thing is funny though, he was a yard off for the last one in injury time and the official still didn't flag until it played out....

Big moments for Mason.
If he can change formation and outwit Emery, that is impressive.
So far Emery has schooled Mason.

1st half was awful. Low block, terrible press, unable to string any chance together.

Why is Porro so allergic to going forwards?
We spend 27 passes to get it to him and he just passes it back to Royal.
He shouldn't be in the team if he isn't willing to run down the line.

Probably more likely that the players can't implement rather than disobeying his instruction.

They can’t press their defenders? It’s literally running - with an element of strategy.

Agree on the in possession stuff tho. Limited ability - the 2 CMs our biggest problem.
