Omar Marmoush

I'd love to get excited about this but my City mate says, "Marmoush is weak as pish and Savinho's worse". Not exactly a ringing endorsement, although he does think they will suit RDZ's style and have both suffered at City. Still, he also thought we'd finish top 4 last season so his judgment isn't great.

Take it with a pinch of salt your friend isn’t the oracle … you only have to read the polarising opinions of players past and present on this forum alone.

Both a quality players in the right circumstances

Dont think he is a CF myself
But he is a good player
It’s tough to identify an RDZ style for CF as he hasn’t had a notable one that I’m aware of. Not at BHA or Marseille. He has developed excellent wide players though in Greenwood and Mitoma.

Personally (and completely unqualified) I think he would like two options…one being a big box presence for low blocks and the other a versatile, fast forward who can play in behind but also move defenders around with their movement. This would be Marmoush (or Kroupi Jr.). Maybe Solanke or Richy can fill the other role if we sign Marmoush.

Watching compilations really seems to showcase that he has a vicious combination of pace and an eagerness to actually attack defenders, to take them on.
He has some high quality finishing ability too.

Greenwood is a great player
Scum of the earth but a great player
Marmoush in Germany reminded me of sonny here
I think having him as an option would naturally be great
I also think the fans would love him

I’m a big Mitoma fan. Unfortunately he’s had several injury issues over the past couple seasons but on his day is a real difference maker.

Would love him on a free next summer.

Not for me. Mitouma is not the right purchase for Spurs at this point in our or his journey.

Marmoush....feels like perfect Spurs signing. No shame sitting on the bench behind Haaland. He would score bucket loads for us. Feels like a much better signing than Gakpo and Savinho. Not to say those 2 wouldn't add value.

Marmoush was abysmal at the WC, and got dropped. I can see him as a winger but not the CF we need. Would rather any of Thiago, Ivan Toney or even Watkins.

Reading a bit about him from City fans, many of them have said he is someone who plays better when he’s backed and gets a run and has confidence. I wonder how much of his World Cup performance was sitting on the bench for Haaland and coming in perhaps fairly rusty.

Not aimed at you particularly, but what's the fascination with toney?
1 season in the PL and 1 in the Championship and the rest of his career is league 1.
He's 30, currently playing in Saudi and awaiting trial for assault.
Why would we even be considering him.

Tel, Richy and Gallagher are the only fit players we have for our front 4 at the moment, so we need more than 1 attacking signing
And Moore.

Plus Kudus will be back very soon (which will allow Moore to move out on loan).

I think we need one more.

Two more would be great (I can’t remember us having a season since the PL started where we had that many options).

Three more would be a dream and indicate to me that the board and manager share the same ambition (actually trying to win the league). Though I don’t think we can afford three more unless we sell somebody for quite big money (so would probably have to be Bergval)
