Official - Defoe

Defoe is so bloody short sighted!

While I appreciate he would have liked to have played more, he must realise he has been important to us, will get more opportunities and will probably never be in a title race again if he leaves!!
 
There's a difference between his agent saying that he wants to move and him handing in a transfer request but it is disappointing nevertheless
 
I read another interview with HR regarding Defoe, the tone of the interview seemed to be a pop Defoe's agent, who is new.

HR seemed to intimate that the transfer request is agent driven (comission based).

They are being phased in over the next few seasons. The size of Emirates Marketing Project's wage bill and trying to comply with the new regulations is one of the reasons why Mancini needs to sell players before he can buy in this window.
 
the reason he's not in our 1st team is because he's not good enough to displace ade or vdv but is a great replacement. if he wants to give up this opportunity to be part of a great squad, chasing the title just to play 33 games at a team like villa then let him go

would like him to stay though
 
pretty sure this is a re-hash of a "story" from Xmas time

which Defoe has quite clearly denied a few times since (saw him on Gordon Ramseys show on Xmas day, and Ramsey asked him straight out of the blue about leaving - Defoe seemed genuinely shocked at even the suggestion of it)

Let's hope he comes out and denies it quickly and kills the story
