Next seasons squad

I am very concerned by the fact that we are seriously linked to Robertson who has just left Liverpool. He spent most of the season on the bench, so why the heck are we interested in him? He is simply not good enough for us.
You see nothing has changed, and it also helps that we will get him on a free. He either gets injured as soon as he starts or he gets skinned on multiply occasions. May pop up and do something helpful in a few games. But I bet the plan is keep Destiny, and when he drops play Robertson. and when he drops, Souza may get a start.....I am already annoyed and its not even happened

£30m for Richarlison? No chance, he has just a year left on his contract.

I doubt Wharton will come to us with both Manchester sides sniffing around.

Robertson? Based on last season is he better than Davies???

I do not know enough about Kroupi and Fernandez to comment.
Obviously ball park figures.

Everton apparently interested in him … perhaps we could do a player swap plus cash.

Of course Wharton would be difficult but I want to believe that the owners would stump up the money like Arsenal went al in for Rice, when both Manchester clubs were in for him. I think with pep going Emirates Marketing Project are an uncertainty. United are looking at Ederson currently in Italy. City after Anderson.

We need that level of player though I guess is my point of view.

Whoever manager is, they should have been slowly bedded in. The fact we were relying on them so often is a disgrace. What other team has teenagers in the middle or at the back when a team is freefalling/.
To be fair both players have been exceptional for what they have gone through. Next year I would have no problem if they start or are on the bench in a rotation.

We really threw them under the bus, especially young Archie.

I think they will both be excellent in a stable team under RDZ.

We need some serious clear out.

championship manager anyone?

Out:
Vicario £35m
Romero £50m
Dragusin £25m
Richarilson £30m
Solanke £30m
Bissouma Free
Davies Coaching role if he wants it

In:
Kroupi (£40m plus Solanke)
Senesi (Free)
Robertson (Free, just replaces Davies for experience)
Wharton £80m
Fernandez from Wham £65m
Paulinha £25m
Defender & GK

Would like to see Lankshear, and other academy players bled in.
I will be more amazed if we fixed the LW and RW and a striker position in the summer, let alone get any of what you listed done in 5 windows. Look how long they took to get a LB. and i still don't think its sorted

I want to believe the owners have had a cobra meeting and realise that they are a shambles and cannot afford to relive this season again.

I want to believe that they will see how Arsenal backed Arteta and follow suite. But I know as well as you how this story goes …

Yeh they have been under the conditions but we shouldn't have been using them so often. It has given them character and a big lesson I guess, but also part of the reason we were struggling. They have shown more drive and effort than some of the elders.

Hopefully the harsh lessons of this season gives them character and a real spring board to showcase their abilities in abundance

GK: New / Kinsky
RB: Porro / Spence
LB: Udogie / Souza / Roberston
CBs: Danso / VDV / Senesi / Phillips / New
DMs: Palhinha / Gallagher / Bentancur / Gray
CMs: Maddison / New / Simons in 2027
RM: Kudus / Kulu (assuming he recovers) / New
LM: Tel / Odobert / New
CF: Solanke / New / Lankshire

Premiership loans for Bergvall, Mikey and extension + Hamburg loan for Vuskovic....

This Robertson link is irking me. Liverpool don't want him, why should we? He's done, over the hill. We have Udogie, Souza, Davies, Spence if needs be. We're not a retirement home.

We do need some leadership, apparently it's a 2 year contract and Udogie is injured quite a lot. I think the 2 of them should be enough with no Europe next season and Udogie could learn a lot from him. Souza probably goes on loan and Davies will leave or go into coaching.

I’m interested to know DZB’s plans for Bergvall and Gray. Neither of whom has had significant playing time recently. It might be that De Zerbi wanted more experience and that’s understandable.

I think he went for experience to start which was sensible, I'm sure I read that he said Gray could be a future captain and he trusted him yesterday. I expect both will get plenty of game time next season.

I'd go something like:

GK: Kinsky / Dubravka / Austin
RB: Porro / Spence
LB: Udogie / Souza
CBs: Romero / VDV / Danso / Vuskovic
CMs: Stiller / Bentancur / Sarr / Gray / Bergvall
AMs: Scott / Devine
RM: Kudus / Kulusevski
LM: Vinicius Jr / Tel / Moore
CF: Osimhen / Lankshear

Injured: Simons, Odobert

Sell: Vicario, Dragusin, Gallagher, Maddison, Solanke, Richarlison, Solomon, Scarlett, Dorrington, Takai, Yang, Veliz

Loan: Philips, Abbott, Donley

Is there another Vinicius Jr that no one knows about? Really can’t see the one at Real Madrid joining us.

Mourinho will have him out the door the second he arrives. There's the mutual dislike from the racism stuff too. We need to make one or two of these level signings up top to push back up into the top half.

AI:
Here is a list of players under 28 years old (as of 2026) who played under Roberto De Zerbi before his Tottenham move, and who could potentially strengthen Tottenham.

Focus is on players who fit De Zerbi’s possession-based, technical, and high-pressing style (creative wingers, ball-playing midfielders, and dynamic defenders). Ages are approximate.

Brighton (2022–2024)

• Simon Adingra (winger, ~23–24) — Fast, direct right winger with goal and assist threat; broke through strongly under De Zerbi.

• Carlos Baleba (central midfielder, ~22) — Energetic, technical defensive midfielder with strong pressing and potential.

• Jan Paul van Hecke (centre-back, ~26) — Ball-playing centre-back who excels in build-up play; technically very comfortable.

• Billy Gilmour (central midfielder, ~24–25) — Technical playmaker with excellent passing range and vision.

• Bart Verbruggen (goalkeeper, ~23–24) — Young, ball-playing keeper developed by De Zerbi.

• Evan Ferguson (striker, ~21–22) — Promising young forward with physicality, technique, and finishing ability.

Sassuolo (2018–2021)

• Jérémie Boga (winger/attacker, ~28–29) — Creative, left-footed dribbler who thrived in De Zerbi’s system with goals and flair. (Borderline age.)

Shakhtar Donetsk (2021–2022)

• Manor Solomon (winger, ~26–27) — Dynamic, dribbling winger who fits the “unstoppable guy” role in wide areas.

Marseille (2024–2026)

• Arthur Vermeeren (central midfielder, ~20–21) — Highly technical, pressing midfielder who has developed well under De Zerbi — excellent long-term option.

Notes:

• Many of the Brighton players are already Premier League proven and would be realistic targets.

• De Zerbi favours technically proficient, mobile players who can rotate positions, inverted/“wrong-footed” wingers, and ball-playing defenders/midfielders.

• Tottenham’s current young talents (e.g. Bergvall, Gray, Tel) would likely benefit from these types of additions.

This is not an exhaustive list, but it highlights the most relevant profiles. Feasibility depends on price, contracts, and Tottenham’s squad needs. Let me know if you want more details on any player!

Players that's I would happily keep

Kinsky
Danso
Spence
(I'd liked to see him playing some games at RB)
Bergvall (young potential but needs development)
Gray (likewise with Bergvall although I think he's somewhat overrated on here already)
Simmons (just signed and injured)
Sarr (although the talk seems to be he might go, I'd keep him)
Gallagher (same player as Sarr so a bit repetitive but he's a new purchase so we aren't going to be selling him)
Odobert (always been a fan and he's development on the right is a surprising bonus)
Kudus
Maddison
Kulu
Souza
(new buy, looks good)

Players that can stay but I wouldn't cry if they left

VDV
and Romero as a pair. I think one of them needs to go. I don't believe in this pairing, it's been 3 years and it just doesn't imo. Both have fairly big flaws but I don't mind if either leave or even both. I also don't mind if one stays
Bentancur (good pro and occasionally has some inspired games but he's never really been the same since that Aston Villa injury. He should really be moved on but I wouldn't stress if it wasn't done this summer.
Porro (good pro, great work ethic, but I like my defenders to be able to defend)
Udogie.(injury prone and has massively regressed in his time here. A decision on his future needs to be made)
Tel (raw, I wouldn't be fazed if we sold him. There are better versions of him out there)
Palhinha (a good pro but I would ideally prefer Ederson or João Gomes)

Players who need to go

Vicario
(initially very good. Fantastic close range reaction stopper. Very poor on long distance shots, terrible authority of his box on corners and his nervous energy transmits to the defenders and pretty awful on the ball)
Richarlison (it's Richarlison, nuff said)
Solanke (I was going to put one of them in the previous category to be realistic, but no I want both of them gone)
Bissouma (unreliable professionally and performance wise)
Davies (can't stay fit and in the role of experienced pro that's actually what you need)
Muani (hasn't worked out, not our problem)
Dragusin (unimpressive in pretty much every way)

I could very easily lose everyone in the 2nd category and fell no way but that's unrealistic so I've tried to breakdown in terms of priority moves. The assumption of course is that we actually bring new faces to replace the crud. Which can't always be guaranteed (B Johnson).
