new phone techno help

Gentleman, I've just upgraded to a new Samsung s6 and I'm a little confused and could use some assistance.

How do I transfer numbers, photos and other data from my old phone? I'm at an utter loss.

And also I have an icon on my status bar that I haven't got a clue what it is, it's the upside down phone with the signal coming from it, I'll attach a pic. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd go for something to do with VoIP tbh, do you have Viber or such installed?

the upside down phone means you can make calls over wifi when there is no phone signal
