Can anyone tell me how I can connect to my NAS remotely ? At the moment I can only connect via Wi-Fi on my LAN but outside of the home I literally have no idea…

a link to an idiots guide would be good if you can’t be arsed to explain
 
What brand is the NAS? Some have built in remote access via a hosted services.

If not, it's possible, but a little more complicated, depending on the capability of your router and whether your service has a static public IP.
