Mykhailo Mudryk

Actually Savio's best season is better than Doue's best performing season so far both by the eye test and the stats and in a higher tier league to boot.

Doue was Man of the Match in two UCL Finals. He broke records for his age in the first. He is levels above Savio as it stands.

2 individual good games. Season wise Savio has had a better season than Doue ever has and also again as I stated a better season statistically and in a more difficult league and with a more difficult proposition, he wasn't playing with the equivalent of PSG in Ligue 1.

Now I'm not saying Savio is better than Doue I'm just pointing out that your claim doesn't really match the reality of their actual performances so far.

Which is a nonsense because none of us know these guys personally. The supposed "character" that people speak of is only what they show the cameras and with some of them what they show the camera is very carefully curated.

Its projection of bias I suspect with some

Either way, with Mudryk on one side and Savio on the other we are going to be bloody fast on the transitions and down the wings. Both have the ability to take players on and at their best, can rip teams apart. Compared to the current market £75m is just over half a Morgan Roger’s, Anderson or Fernandez so hardly extortionate.
All this Meldonium stuff is annoying as well, it’s a prescription drug in Ukraine for multiple conditions also given by doctors for fatigue. The reason the ban was controversial by FIFA was it remains in Urine samples for up to 65 days with one dose and 117 days after a week, meaning he might of been prescribed it by a doctor in Ukraine, not touched it for months and still have a low sample showing (reason his ban was lifted). People need to Google that stuff first tbh

Think the point was Savio is levels above Mudryk.

People point to Savio's "lack of goals", he actually has more career goals than Mudryk despite being 4 years younger, and his goals came in a top European league, not Ukraine.

We will see with Mudryk, but at this point, he's nowhere near the level of Savio, Marmoush or Tonali as proven product

His price tag will be market value if he succeeds, but minus most of the performance risk.
That makes him exactly the same value as Gakpo or Ndiaye, with the the costs for this season effectively being trial costs.

The price is correct.
We also haven't attempted to penny pinch - a long standing criticism.

Could the fee have been 10-15m lower if the Gakpo and Ndiaye moves weren't known about? Probably. But they were, and time was of the essence.

If there is a political situation come purchase time to negotiate the fee down, great!
For right now we have a blank canvas, at little cost, a body instead of a gap, and a known and correct price if we want to purchase.
We may not need to purchase come next summer - maybe Tel or Odobert suddenly fill the hole? Maybe LWB bursts into the scene?
Or maybe we have a £75m player, playing well, integrated into the squad, that we get to buy for £75m.

It's a deal set at the right level for all parties.

It really isn't but I'm not going to argue the point.
