Christ I thought Gilberto was a poor signing, but at least he scored a f#ckin goal for us. I dont see where (or even how) his goal is going to come from

No player steps into a side, having not played for 6 months, and excels. Sissoko especially! He's scared around the goal -and for good reason! Needs to build confidence, but even more than that, needs to be playing with Paulinho next season after a Chinese bidding war.
 
He's a good footballer with pace and a good pass in him. He needs a run of games, though. He might just get it in the next couple of games, so let's see what he does in them. You can't judge on 5-10 minute cameos, where he might be asked to play a specific role by Poch, which might not showcase his real skillset.

pace - yes. Good pass - no. He looks ridiculously clumsy with the ball - doesnt look like a footballer at all

Pay closer attention to him next time. He has wonderful passes in him, but with so little time on the pitch and the position he plays in he seldom gets to display that part of his game.

I pay plenty of attention to him thank you. Its not just his passing - he had a glorious chance today but just blazed it high and wide. Basic footballing skills are missing
 
On the face of it, he's just not a good footballer. On closer inspection, he's is just not a good footballer.

A lot of us don't think he's bad because he cost £30M.......we just think he's bad.

He was playing on the right yesterday and got in some decent positions but failed to put in a single decent cross.

He can outrun people with the ball, i.e. kick the ball and run after it but he has given us nothing. He has been poor for us.

When we signed Lamela he was just 21 years old, could not speak the language, was blighted by injury and it was his first season in this league. Sissoko was 27 when we signed him and had being playing in this league regularly for 3 years, big difference mate
