Anyone could leave us that open, especially if you're mentioning the ambition Levy did in the interview with VV.

I agree, I think Forest are throwing their toys out of the pram.

Sadly, we're now going to have to wait and see, could really drag or, worse, not happen at all (only if there's credible evidence in Forest's claim).
 
They will be contacting City asking if they want MGW for £70m whilst making MGW sign a new contract without a release clause in it.

If the club breaches the players contract the player has the right to terminate. Under fa and fifa rules.
So it will be delayed but forest aren't holding all the cards.

Didn't know you could make someone sign a contract if they don't want to, they could offer him big salary to tempt him but then I would suspect he would want to have a release clause that gave him greater control over terms of his future.

And still doesn't take away from fact we met the clause and terms with player is agreed...........I think people are getting into unnecessary scenarios in their heads

I think this is the most likely scenario. We submitted a formal offer, Forest have initially accepted that the clause has been met and as such medical was booked and we got likes of Romano saying "here we go, deal done". Then Forest owner has got wind of what's going on and how his squad is getting ripped to shreds and hes basically thrown his toys out the pram and told his side to try and block this in any way possible. I can imagine he didn't even know about the release clause and is absolutely fuming about it.

Very unlikely. As per Ally Gold, that would come with its own legal complications as Spurs have apparently essentially done the deal already. If the release clause has been met, he is released from his contract and if he or his agents have verbally agreed a deal to join Spurs and this can in any way be evidenced by messages then legally Spurs could even attempt to block any transfer to any other club. Would get extremely messy.
 
I must admit it’s a bit annoying he’s turned up to their training, because it just shows this isn’t close to being resolved. I like his professionalism, but it’s not often you see players back in the original club’s training after a deal was said to be done.

If they have now made their complaint…how does this get resolved? Do the PL have to look at this and confirm nothing untoward has happened? How long does that take?
