Have you seen their squad? They'd struggle against San Marino the complete dearth of talent they have.

I mean, how can they compete against the super stars of Panama...
Panama has a football culture and infrastructure (America only does for the women's game)
I think they are using a load of MLS based young players for these games and the Gold Cup. A lot of the best EU based players are not there (No Pulisic, Dest, McKennie, Weah, Reyna, Sargent, Balogun, Pepi etc.) But still, Doesn't look good.
I wonder if the World Cup will boost the game there and help level up the MLS? I know they have new teams entering the league every year and have developed their stadiums to be specific for football etc but it still feels like it has lost a lot of momentum in the actual standard on the pitch in recent years.True but the likes of Panama are only MLS quality players on the whole.
USMNT also has a lot more money and structure pumped into it and a bigger player pool than the teams they are losing too.
It didn't really work in 1994. There wasn't any lasting foothold from that. They are just too much into their own sports which they can be world champions at because no one else plays them.I wonder if the World Cup will boost the game there and help level up the MLS?
