Manager Sack Watch

The stars have really aligned for Ange here. I couldn't really see any EPL team boss other than Maranakis giving him the gig.

I thought Forest generally looked excellent going forward under Nuno, coupled with a solid defensive base. Ange would be mad to change too much too quickly. They have some very good players and if he has allowed himself to learn a few lessons he could do quite well. It will be interesting to see.

I was about to say it would be interesting to see if their players started dropping like flies now but you just know they will probably go injury free throughout the season now lol

It's all about bit weird. He must have known that interview would see him replaced but what has led up to that point?.. Is Edu just a complete c**t to work with!?

I always think managers who are represented by Jorge Mendes are ALWAYS very calculated about what they do to make sure they never fail to get their compensation payoff..

Edu works with Jorabchian, while Nuno is a Mendes man. I suspect there's a pattern in the players they did sign versus who Nuno wanted. Edu might also be doing a bit of Chelsea style trading which has seen them end up with a rather bloated squad. Nuno famously wants it to be as small as possible.
