With the players at his disposal, I wouldn't say Dalglish has underachieved at all at Liverpool. 8th with midtable players is a decent effort.
It was a sarcastic dig at his inability to sign players. Of course, if you spend ?ú100m or so you expect more than 8th, but when you sign it on that....
Good fit IMHO... Wigan are fooked now though!
Absolutely gutted it looks like they're going to pinch Martinez. I think he'll do really well at a big club and it's a shame it's not us imo.
Are we really considering Roberto fudging Martinez over Kenny Dalglish? Seriously? Disgraceful.
So we are going to pay Wigan money to get him out of his contract with them when we have Rafa waiting by his phone on the Wirral waiting to say 'I'll be at Melwood tomorrow'.
This is the fudging Rafa> Hodgson scenario all over again.
If this is what they come up with, when the likes of Rafa, Capello and AVB are available then it's the final fudging straw.
I fudging won't, FSG can fudge off if they think they can appease the fans with this brick, we bin Dalglish for a man whose claim to fame is keeping Wigan up.
If he gets the job that's me done with football.
Absolute fudging shocker of an appointment.
He's not been appointed yet but I understand what you are saying. Rafa AVB or Pep for me or Im done too but lets just wait and see!
although I am sick of Americans with no clue making such fudgenugget decisions over our club!!
Say this to yourself, they sacked Kenny to hire Martinez, does that sound right in anyway?
we know our club better than any of these tacos in the press. they just want to see their favourite manager get a good job. and fudge it if it doesn't work because it's liverpool.
Martinez as manager + Benitez as DOF, there's an idea, no?
LFC: "Hi <big name player>. Would you like to play for Martinez ?"
Them: "Martin who ?"
LFC: "Martinez. Hello .... Hello ?"
People are too wrapped up in getting big name managers.
How many "no name" managers have achieved anything noteable in the PL or even wider in Europe in the last 3-5 years?
Pool is going to be a huge task, getting them to do well in a Cup run is possible (as we saw this year), but their #1 priority in the EPL title, without Emirates Marketing Project type investment, Jose couldn't achieve that. Add the idiot fans braying for two failures (KK and Rafa) at every stumble along the way .. disaster
