It says about a successor being identified but wouldn't that be Vini?
Has our value potential for new owners ever been higher than now?
Good point about keeping key personnel in-situ during a takeover. They'd normally be put on a lucrative retainer (although it might be a bit different for Cullen if her plan is to retire).Would be surprised if we are about to have a full takeover. Mainly because of the Donna news today. If it was full takeover you’d imagine she’d have been persuaded to stay put till it all goes through. Companies don’t like change at that level while deals are going through. I can see a partial takeover happening and the new part owner taking that seat on the board.
Postecoglou to go upstairs![]()
The issue is it will probably come at a $3B+ price which makes the list of potential buyers very small. For the small group, it is attractive.
There’s a few on here would be prostrate at his feet if he ascended into heaven…![]()
In your mind is that $3b+ what you pay and you have to own the $1b debt as well?
I'm not talking about that. It's all assumptions for sure. But that's also assuming this post is true to begin with, which I highly doubt.
Though, I will point out that 63 really isn't old these days - Jim Ratcliffe is 72 and only just took over as United owner. Stan Kroenke is 77. John Henry at Liverpool is 75.
Levy's solidly middle of the road in terms of chairman/owners (or part owners) in the Premier League.
I'm not talking about that.
It's the assumption that he's some kind of sad little man that only has Tottenham in his life.
To put it bluntly.....you've got fudge all idea what's going on in the rest of his life. You're the one attaching 'sad little man' to it mate. It's a fact that Spurs is his life's pursuit, and he has nothing comparable to fall back on.
Stan Kroenke owns multiple sports clubs in the US - Arsenal is a small part of his portfolio. Todd Boehly runs his own investment firm. John Henry was a baseball legend long before he bought Liverpool. Sheikh Mansour helps run a goddamn country. Marinakis is a globally significant shipping magnate. And on, and on.
Levy just has Spurs as his claim to fame. That's it. It's not a 'sad little man' thing - I think most of us would love to be the part-owner of a billion-dollar sporting franchise. But he has nothing outside it to keep his public profile where it is, and that's why I think he won't let us go easily.

Lets be honest if someone was going to take over and pay the money Levy wants then they are taking over to spend money, Klopp would be hired and we would be signing big names.
Lol...Taking a Levy discussion personally....says Dubai haha.Like I said, it's an assumption. But it's one I'm pretty confident about.
Plus, anything else he did would be in the papers, he'd be a listed director/owner elsewhere, and so on. He isn't, to my knowledge.
Think you're taking things way too personally mate. It's a fact that men who spend their lives building their reputation at one place don't give up that role easily. This applies to Levy too. Simple as, and it's why I think he stays absent a takeover that forces him out.
