Van Hecke played well.
Danso would've had more of a chance of stopping Woltamade heading down for the 2nd goal though imo.

Except it wasn’t Van Hecke or VDV competing with Woltemade for the header. It was Udogie who didn’t get close. So presumably Danso wouldn’t have been near Woltemade either.

If their next move is to sell him, I'll have all but given up on this project before it's even really got started. He's currently our best defender.

We certainly can’t let Danso go without getting a proper replacement in. I love Danso and think he’s a great defender, so I think we’ll struggle with that.

I thought Van Hecke was fine defensively yesterday, and Danso wouldn’t have prevented either of their goals.

I saw some stats (I can't find now) that showed he won most of his aerial duels yesterday. I think he was actually good statistically speaking.

He's better in the air than the rest, he puts his body on the line, better at scrapping.

I'd fudging give him a raise, give him the cup games and make sure he understands we will be back in Europe next season and there will be plenty of games.

Should have put Fernandes on him, it's not like Woltemade is tall or anything.
