There's always a reason you win and most of it comes from the work you do away from the match itself. I do get the feeling we are doing some good work currently on the training ground and with the player mentoring.

The team are playing well which makes the players look better. Getting results puts fans in a good mood.
We usually start a season quite well. We'll have to see how we cope come december after playing 2 games a week.
Early signs very good though.

For me, Frank is proving how important a signing he was for our club. Didn't see the game, but catching up with the posts tell me that our midfielders are just getting compliments week after week. This week I read some great posts about Bents, Pal and Bergval within 24 hours of each other. Obviously Sarr has been getting plaudits for weeks.

It feels like Frank has come in, unscrambled some heads and reprogrammed them. His expectations on them are very realistic and pragmatic. He is setting them up for success in their positions.
I think all in all the City game was fairly close. Had they taken their chances it would have been a different story. But going to their place and making it a close game is great as a performance. Arguably one of our best performances of the wins over them in recent years, not a smash and grab.

I like Frank a lot, he's doing a stellar job so far. But he's also imo building on what's been done in recent years. And the additions of Kudus and Palhinha have imo been massive.

Although not directly involved in a goal against City Kudus was so important for us in that game again. As was Palhinha.

Part of why I really want us to sign at least another attacking player (winger and 10) is how important I think Kudus looks. I don't want to find out if Frank will make us look "unscrambled" without him and without any further attacking signings.

In the longer term, yes. Short term there's a lot of variance/luck.

Frank seems to be doing what he can, and what he can seems to be really good.
