Not sure why you compare with Dembele?
Just his ability to swivel and leave opposition players behind. Very strong and skillful with the ball at his feet. You don’t see that?

Kudus plays as one of the front three, Moussa picked the ball up from deep in the CM position.
Like you say we won't sign him for various reasons one of the most important being he's not all that, especially at his release fee - 13 goals in 65 league games is not anything at all. Compare that to his mate Bowen, that is someone who produces in the final third. Kudus to date has been the classic YouTube player, looks all exciting but end product not so much.

Agree we need someone who can pull players out of position....

you said Dembele was woeful in the final third, but it wasn’t his job. Equally you could say Kudus is woeful taking the ball off his own defence, intercepting attacks, tackling, defensive positioning, defending corners, etc.

I'm left wondering what pre-season schedule Madds and Kulu are on after their end of season injuries. Be interesting to see how Frank finds that creative spark from the rest of the squad in his PS games especially as we know Tel and Odobert are in a summer tournament and will naturally be later back to the club. No doubt, a great opportunity for Donley and others though.

Maddison was one of the players (with Dragusin) in gym/rehab for the Frank first day video. Think he will probably be ready earlier in pre-season.

Slightly different though. Demebele was a failed striker because he was indeed woeful upfront and fell backwards to midfield because he didn't cut it up front.

A manager thought his skill set was more suited to the midfield role … I think he may have been right.
Still not sure I understand the relevance between the two players? Unless @SpurMeUp @Bishop and yourself think we’re looking to do the same if we bought Kudus and play him as a deep lying CM ?

If that’s the argument you guys are making then I disagree. If that’s not the argument then it probably needs a bit more explanation as to why Dembele is in the Kudus conversation.

Dembele was woeful in the final third for us was what he said, and that apparently Kudus has shown he can score - a 1 goal every 5 PL games for someone playing in one of the forward 3 positions is poor for any team let alone one for our aspirations, and Dembeles role for us was from a much deeper position with goal scoring being very low down on the list of priorities.

Anyway regardless of the odd comparison, Kudus should be a firm no - he hasn't done anything of note, and for the prices being quoted we can and will find better value....
