you can, you just have to download it from the app store, it's not part of the OS

No mate, you can stay on your current version as long as you want. I wouldn't go near it until they update it. No problem picking up a network, but page loading is completely fudging arbitrary and maps and fb barely load. Pretty tinkled as I can't even get a YouTube clip running half the time. Tried it in several locations too.

I'm fine on iPad and iPhone on iOS6. No problems whatsoever.
