was having conversation in the pub tonight that not only we will not qualify for the next 12 years we will be picking players from the championship due to the lack of players in the prem being English.

I think England will always qualify for major tournaments unless you have shyte managers like Taylor or McClaren. Frankly, England need a foreign coach to bring success. Just can't see any English managers capable of doing that now.

Seriously, how easy was the 2014 qualifying group. There's no excuse for not making the World Cup given how easy it's made for the top UEFA teams. But given that the Dutch and France are below you in the rankings and likely to improve after this, what are the chances that England aren't seeded for the next qualifiers?

Once more showing how little you really think, know or both!
He knows the set-up and at HT if your one down you think the players are listening to RH???? Whether he has experience or not we're starting with a clean slate.

How about trying to argue the point rather than trying to have digs at me?
Peace's record as manager of the U21s was poor, his club record is worse. I hope that it works out for him at Forest and he develops into a decent manager but the signs aren't promising.
As for Hodgson, the squad seems pretty unified to me. I always thought that it would be tough to qualify from this group and it has turned out to be true. I think that it is a tournament too early for most of the younger players and a tournament too far for Gerrard. I am hopeful that the young players will have learnt from this and will benefit from the experience at the Euros. On that basis, I see no reason for a change in manager.

I think Milo makes an important point. If we're looking for a tournament manager, why choose a manager who has a poor track record in tournaments?

I don't think he has a point. I want an English manager first and foremost. I want someone who has a bit of pride in themselves who will rally the players who they might actually respect. Do you think the Liverpool players, including our national captain, will respect RH behind closed doors? Because I don't. We're starting afresh with players why not do that with the manager too?
