Harry Kane MBE

Mate, willingness isn't mentioned in that post once. But, since you mention it - why is it not willingness?

Our owner is worth £5B, doesn't put anywhere near as much in as less rich owners who invest more than him - is that not a question of willingness? Is that not what holds us back?

FSG selling their shares to outside owners o get more money in to help *their* club succeed - again, a question of willingness. What are owners willing to do to win?

And in FSG's case, they actually won. Loads. And it is likely that Boehly will too before ENIC does again.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your point mate, but willingness and capacity to hand in hand for me.
You literally mentioned willingness 3 times in previous posts
Capacity is hand in hand with it because if money is no object, which is the case with oil country clubs it really doesn’t matter
Look at what’s happening in Saudi now to create a league…. Throw money at it

FSG are doing everything they can to maintain a value on their investment
Our pseudo owner has no interest in football. It’s not his thing and he is only worth £5b. In reality he isn’t the owner though, just largest investor. Like Clearlake at Chelsea are too. The owner is Levy who has this club as his sole vehicle
He is up against countries… it’s perfection in reality

For me, the worst case scenario, was that Kane would be sold to the Prem / stay here a year then sign for Arse/Cheats/Liv/MNU/MNC in that order next summer, for free.

In comparison to THAT, the fact we got about £100m for him now, is really good. Done. He's fled the country and we get a load of money to reinvest, with a few weeks still to reinvest.

Yes, I would have enjoyed watching him this season and PERHAPS we would have made it into the CL and gained £50m from that... but £100m is a good price and we can now reset.

I find it incredible that Kane is in Germany but there has been not one official acknowledgement from the club on the whole thing. I get Ange spoke about it but its beyond speculation. Just seems odd that the clubs not even acknowledged it to the fans...And before someone says that we knows its happening, I get it, but thats not really the point

Do clubs generally make statements on transfers before they become official?

Some do, some at least acknowledge it happening, I mean he is being photographed on the plane and at their facilities now. Its not that big a moan, but considering his status at Spurs and to the fans, I would have thought something might have come out just because of the scale of the player

I wouldn't be surprised if the club and Kane have agreed together how and when any statements will be made by each of them.

We don’t have a DOF to make that comment publicly
That’s who would normally do it

Happy for Kane. He deserves this move. That we kept him until 30, then got upto 120m for him is not really terrible is it? Had the guy signed an extension we'd have kept him longer, but nothing stays the same. We have to evolve.
That last sentence is so so key
We have to evolve or we go backwards
We lose a truly exceptional player
I believe we can create an exceptional side now that doesn’t rely on one brilliant player

I dont know many clubs (in fact I cant think of any club) that mention that their player is in another club completing a transfer. The transfer isn't done. Spurs will release a message when it is done.

Well they do, I've seen a couple In the last 24hrs including Man United talking about Fred's proposed deal to Saudi despite it not being official. Like I say it's not a big deal, just seems strange that the clubs biggest star is being photographed over in Europe and we couldn't coordinate something, not like its us knocking out a fringe player on the cheap

Erm.....Ange literally talked about it at length. He is the main public face of the club.
