I am enjoying Radio Caroline North's return to the airwaves (it normally broadcasts via the Internet) courtesy of Manx Radio today.
The stream can be found here: http://sc2.radiocaroline.net:8100
I've just read a book about the history of the station and the lunatics who risked their lives broadcasting from ramshackle ships moored out at sea. Gripping stuff.
Strange to think that when Spurs last won the league the BBC played something like a mere 30 minutes of recorded pop music a day, thanks to needle time restrictions. The pirates changed all that.
This weekend's broadcasts are from a ship safely moored on the Blackwater river in Essex.
To complete the weekend of nostalgia, I might follow the football results on Ceefax.
Is that still going?
