Gareth Bale

Am I the only one that cant stand these sort of articles?

If it isn't Bale ready to take us back into the Champs League, it's Livermore who's "up for the cup"
Rah rah, frikking rah.

Don't talk about it. JUST Friggin' DO IT!

Sorry but sick and tired of all the hyped up talk. If our performances over the last month matched the talk, we'd be Champions elect.

He should at least start on the left, try out the full back, see how much space he is getting before he goes roaming.
But if we have Defoe upfront on his own, (it has happened) it's a waste of time for him to cross the ball in from wide. On those occasions be should be cutting in (from the right if necessary).

not at all.

remember Pav's goal at home v Inter?

a low, hard cross from the left into the corridor of uncertainty, Geoff. he did the same for Crouch iirc but the giraffe was offside.

Pav was hardly an aerial master.

get down the line, pull it back to the D or smack it across the 6 yard box, heck, even loft it to the far post for the opposite winger to get on - lots he can do with a cross rather than just putting it into the mixer.

It's just brick that fills up the OS really...

All very good talking the talk Gareth, but lets see you walk and walk next Saturday and put in a Norwich-style performance

Good read, cheers for posting

Not sure I agree with his diving rationale however - perhaps he needs more protection from the refs first. Catch 22

Youve now heard it from the horses mouth and you still dont believe it. incredible.

Bale need's to be sent back to his roots like Rocky when he lost to Clubber Lang.

He has lost some of that burning desire and hunger.

If bale is racing along and someone like agger threatens to whack him, then he should anticipate and avoid the whack by hurdling, falling and appealing. But he should not writhe on the floor holding his shin if he isn't touched. And he should not start falling and trail a leg to glean contact if his avowed intention is to avoid contact.

This. He is deadly on the left and should stay there the majority of the time. The only time he just start roaming is when he either can't get the better of his full back or when the team are struggling and not finding him anyway.

It's flimflam anyway. There have always been fast players, and most of them don't do what Bale does to "get out of the way". And Bale's balance is clearly excellent so he has no excuse that his balance isn't very good. He is more likely to hurt himself intentionally falling down than actually jumping out of the way and staying on his feet.

i just think that... bale should let his football do the talking. he doesn't leave much of an impression lately.

So what about games like Norwich away where he was everywhere? That wasn't because he couldn't beat the full back or the team were struggling....

Sorry, I don't understand your point? I am saying he SHOULD stay left (when he clearly doesn't) and you are giving an example as to where he doesn't?

we should have proper back up, the manager tells the player where to play, if theyre not playing well he should be able to see it, move them around or get them off, seems simple to me.

Stuck mainly to the left yesterday and looked quality, 3 lovely crosses....more of the same for the rest of the season please GB3

Exactly. Bale mainly to the left, puts in a fantastic cross, Walker goal. Puts in three more dangerous crosses, all hurriedly, painfully cleared by Bolton. Has a free header which he should have done better with on the inside-left channel, from Benny's cross. All in all, he looked far more dangerous yesterday in forty minutes spent mainly on the left than he had for the five games before that spent wandering.

Stick to what you know, lad. Everything else will come along in time.
