It makes me question whether the owners haven’t backed Thomas Frank fully as they know he won’t be around much longer so are saving the financial resources for the summer and hopefully to back his replacement.
That makes no sense..."let's set this manager up to fail, and then see who we attract in the summer". We needed a good left sided midfielder at the start of the season. We still need one. Gallagher is a decent player but we could do with at least one attacking (ie goal scoring) player of equal status.

And it goes against the ethos of any club, they buy and out players on 5/6 contracts and look to buy players who should benefit the club long term. Just seems we are not as ambitious and well heeled as made out.

This sense that a new manager will solve all our problems...it might work or there again it might get us relegated.
Who is the new manager that is so keen to take the job on, because he thinks our attacking line up is fantastic? Solanke is rusty, Xavi is finding his feet. Son hasn't been replaced.

Has anyone said that a new manager will solve all our problems?

The only time I remember seeing anything resembling that argument was last season when Ange was in charge.

Hey, we're massively underperforming and the right manager only has to get us beating the teams we should to have us in the top 3 - who's gonna turn that down?

Would be utter madness to fire him on the back of the last 5/6 performances.

We’ve been the better team in all of them.

If we get rid after barely 6 months that’s insanity.
Based on the last few games, i think we can see how it goes for awhile, but the board should really be deciding who's next just in case.

If they don't already have a short list drawn up then it's a derliction of duty
You can have a shortlist, but you can't start talking until you are going through with it, otherwise you just tinkle people off. You can talk to people and say are you interested in talking over in the summer. But you do run the risk of them saying no and talking to the press

So then they shouldn't be deciding who's next?

You have a shortlist, you work through agents, start with simple stuff, would you consider, would you consider mid-season. We found out as example Frank talked to United and Chelsea, there was no leak to press, managers are different from players

Conte's infamous rant might have been unprofessional, but he's been proved correct. There are way too many people at this club who always pick the path of least resistance. We're back where we started, with exactly the same problems and Pochettino's time at the club will soon be considered an anomaly.

At some point, we had a great squad of players but we were missing a little something to go over the line. That little something is called a winner's mentality which is the very thing that turned Chelsea into a major power when they brought in Vialli, Zola or Gullit, even though some of them were way past their sell-by date.

Instead, we brought players with questionable mentality (Aurier and Ndombele say hello, but they're not the only ones). Six years later, the result is there for all to see. Spurs' club culture is a disaster from top to bottom and so long as we don't address that, like Conte said, we will appoint a lot of managers but the results won't change.

^^ Hence Frank/Lange/VV going for experience like Palhinha Gallagher Robertson.

(I thought Xhaka and Henderson were well past it, but they haven't been bad).
