If you park on a road for free just north of where the A406 crosses the A1010, it's a 20min walk to the stadium. If you don't want to walk in you could catch a train for one stop from Silver Street, but coming back straight after the game, you will walk to here quicker than parking closer and sitting in traffic. This is the point where traffic starts moving again.

Is there much street parking around that bit now? A couple of hours before ko should be ok to get a space?

I’m coming for the Monday night Coventry game and would prefer not having to stand in the queue at Northumberland park after the game if at all possible!

The A1010 is Fore St, if you check out the Edmonton matchday CPZ the zone stretches nearly all the way up to Edmonton Green either side of Fore St so you need to choose carefully which road you park in, don't know how stringent they are with enforcement.
