Fixture & Ticket News 26/27

From what I understand is there are many underhand things happening so those that have their points etc are keeping them, its a properly closed shop now, as with loyalty I think it should be, but 100% there are people not attending games with their ST and points being redeemed

It’s not a closed shop though. I got my ST at Wembley. Didn’t apply for any away games the first season there. Think I got a couple of away cup matches the 2nd season, and it’s built from there, such that I now get most aways but not Brentford or Bournemouth, and some London derbies are borderline.
So it can be done.

No doubt however that there are people who pass on tickets for games they don’t want and get the points. I’m not sure how that can really be monitored apart from having more in-person
collection of tickets at the away ground, which might not be welcome from the away club’s perspective.

Thats interesting, I know a couple who have been trying to away tickets for seasons and not managed once to get a PL away and have been ST holders for donkeys.

You have to do all the home cup games. And the less attractive away ones (PL and Cup) like schlepping up to Saudi Sportswashing Machine for a Sunday 4pm or midweek fixture.
And - when applicable - trying to get to some European aways adds up the points. Last season that was difficult because of the allocations. But ones like Red Star a few years ago, and Galatasaray more recently, didn’t even take up the full allocation.

Yeh TBF they have done alot of the less fashionable cups away where they have managed to get a ticket etc, but never a sniff in the PL

Have to see if the enhanced security features such as hidden or rotating barcodes help stamp out the re-sale of away tickets and give more ST's lower down the points table a chance of a ticket.
Spurs have taken action against ST's selling on tickets in previous seasons if, the new security measures work expect to see more.

Rotating QR codes will prevent the use of ticket screenshots. But digital tickets are sent out via an email with a hyperlink to download the ticket to your wallet. Just forward the email to your mate or the person you are selling to without downloading it yourself and there’s no issue in terms of the changing code.

I agree the club do seem to be making efforts to track those selling tickets via resale sites like Stubhub which is a good step.

The best solution imo would be for the ticket to be loaded to your ST ticket like they do for home cup games. But I guess that’s more difficult to do for an away ticket.

I imagine with intuitive AI it will soon be impossible to download a ticket to a Wallet without a name match
