It’s in their interest to keep increasing the value of the asset. For when they sell that’s obvious. But they will have been getting loans based on the club as an asset for 20+ years now which they then use to reinvest in various other busiensss they are in. The Lewis family will have made billions already from owning Spurs but it will never be reflected in dividend payouts on the balance sheet.

I sometimes go with the other half to auction previews at Sotheby's, Christies and Bonhams as it is as good as going to an art gallery or museum, you get to see loads of art that will go into private hands like the Lewis's, all way beyond my pay grade.

Don't remember any stories of Levy happy to chat with fans , does seem completely different these days with Vivienne taking the reins , lets hope the results start coming.
And Mr Gold should point out that out of the circa £300 million sale Sothebys probably took around £40 million in commission (who could we buy for that) and they don't just get from the seller they get commision from the buyer as well.

Tbf that’s as much to do with the fact 95% of Spurs fans would know who Levy is and 5% would know who Viv Lewis is.

Not sure he was happy to talk with fans , probably because many despised him. Out of eleven FAB meetings while he was chairman think he has attended two and he was running the club not DMC who he sent to do the meetings, now that Vinai is in charge of day to day running on the club he has attended every one.
