ENIC

I dont have many problems with Enic, my biggest problem with Levy is that I feel we do 90% and the last 10% is fcking us up. Like we get a top manager but dont give him the one player he needs, or we have a great team and we all se we just need a LB or a CD to maybe win something or we use the summer to get the player we need and it goes to hell in the end, just becouse we try to save some euros.. Its just the last push I feel they dont want to do…
The last 10% can be luck and timing
A competitor having a bad season
The team staying fit (look at arsenal now that’s catching up with them)
Some youth coming through unexpectedly
You score the freak goal or screamer in that key game

we actually had that with Poch when we exceeded everything and even then couldn’t get it over the line

how does everyone feel about ENIC right now?

Some of us been calling them out for years, clearly seems the tide has turned on our Investment Company owners.

As I keep saying, he pays himself the highest wage in the land, he charges us the highest prices in the land, but when it comes to spending, we're 6th on wage bill. You can't have it both ways.

You think it’s possible that other clubs could be spending money on wages that didn’t come from gate receipts?

He’s not even the highest wage at the club, let alone the land.

None of those comments are relevant

- Levy pays himself a salary, so what? we have argued this times several times that "highest wage" is not a real statement because the way several other chairmen are paid in the league is via salary plus dividends. and it's less than Ndombele earns.
- We pay high prices, right up there. For what it's worth Fulham will have the most expensive regular season ticket holders
- Wage bill isn't tied into ticket prices, it's tied into income and we sit 5th in income table (so about par?)

The relevant questions are

- Are we happy with the on field results - no
- Do we have more gap with our wage to income turnover? - yes, this is typically the metric we could play with (we will see how the new rules cap it, we are one of the few clubs operating in the rules).
- Are we going to get the right manager? - no idea
- How much money are we going to have to spend in summer - no idea

Watching City tear the Scum apart with ease last night was fun & depressing all at the same time

Would I like owners who gave us that kind of money? sure
Are there likely caveats? sure, and that's up to each of us morally/ethically

The issue I don't get, is like the poster earlier who had a go at me for my clear lack of ambition while not willing to share what they do for a living

Why do Spurs fans think "wishing" for something (i.e. new owners) or "having enough of ENIC" makes the slightest difference in the world?

All it does do by the way is create more clickbait flimflam media. This morning the media is still writing articles about how Spurs are a disaster (ignoring the situation at Chelsea) and how Arsenal really didn't bottle it and they should be praised. Tells you what each fanbase is lapping up.

To be honest with all of you, I apologised to Raziel for asking whether he had any ambition, etc. In all honesty it wasnt personal. I don't know what he does and I don't know what his life goals are. I got a little over passionate.

He has systematically responded to try and quash and discredit anything I have said, and I tried to do the same. In essence asking why we should be happy with what we have - we should aspire to greater things. I did that in a manner that caused offence, for which I apologised.

But to be called a fluffer and a cvnt is just on another level.

I have been a member of this forum since way before the days of this format and have never received this sort of abuse, especially from you scara, who I held in high esteem. You were always impartial where other mods may not have always been.

So when you get asked the question on what it is you do for a living, alarm bells start to ring, because you know somebody wants to form a judgement based on your personal profile, hence I deflected, asked why and obviously got no reply (which confirms my suspicions).

Now on the back of that I then get direct abuse from other posters, being called names. After I apologised. Talk about hypocrisy.

For what it's worth, I am not unemployed (although some advice: there are people out there that are and should not be used as a means to judge someone), definitely not a fluffer, but perhaps there is a sprinkling of cvnt in there somewhere...

Your big mistake is holding Scara in high esteem mate :D

Love that you took the most offence at being unemployed.

How did you work that one out?

Just in case you missed it: what I was saying is that there could be people on this board that are unemployed and you shouldn't really be using it as an insult, as you could be causing offence.

Why do you consider being a fluffer an insult?

I'm quite a fan of porn, and without fluffers, there'd be no porn. Don't do yourself down, everyone's job has value.

I'm pretty sure we're all trying to cause offence at some point - I know I am.

You've been here long enough to know that thick skins are a prerequisite.

Appreciate the apology mate, we all (believe it or not) have a passion for the club and how we each think it was be best made better, we should save the brick for the chokers down the road. Scara just made me laugh with his we're all trying to cause offense .. probably

I tend to respond in a line by line item way, it's not meant as a shut down, no one's opinion is right

I have all the ambition in the world for Spurs, I do however try to temper that with some level of realism, otherwise it's very easy to get bitter/angry and fail to enjoy the moments. And maybe that's where I differ, us losing the CL final doesn't diminish the night against Ajax, and for me, it's not about the count at the end of the season/years, it's did we have moments.
