The service line from SS to NP has been discussed before , one story I read by a reported expert on railways is that it's would need complete upgrading to be able to be used for passenger traffic and then there is the cost of building platforms at NP with all the disruption to the existing depot , all discussed before and deemed economically unviable by TFL.
From the southern end of the stadium its a 907 metre walk to NP where the Victoria line depot is , from the same spot outside the stadium to Seven Sisters it's approx 2.12 km, you would be saving a walk of around 1,200 metres it's not worth the money.

The lack of a tube station very close to stadium doesn't stop people attending the stadium in fact Haringey Council would positively be against it they want people walking down the High St spending money in shops and boosting the local economy.

Lammy was wanting a station for years. So no haringay aren't against it.
Also yes it needs work, but it's not costing the same as tunneling for crossrail.

Isn't it about PSR inclusions and exclusions though?

My biggest problem with PSR is that it isn't reflecting what actually happens on a P&L and Balance Sheet. As you say you can't sell something to yourself and make money. However, if you're a billionaire and can declare something as profit and change the 3 year rolling calculation in PSR then you will.

Still makes no sense to Spurs though. We have way more headroom in PSR than money to spend. Even if we created more headroom by playing these games then it wouldn't change a thing.

The guy I feel most sorry for is Fabio Paratici. He had the book thrown at him. I don't see any difference between artificially inflating player prices and using amortisation rules for intangible assets i.e. players than what Chelsea and Villa are doing. It's all Jimmy Carr level evasion.

I don't know the finer details but I see it that ordinarily Villa & Chelsea would be outright bankrolled by owner spending and posting losses without a care - PSR is in part designed to stop that from happening, so both clubs are having to spend within their means (or however PSR dictates that) and selling off the ladies team or hotels or whatever is just a loop hole that allows them to spend more of their owners money (with it being dressed up as club money)

The whole thing stinks and it's fast becoming apparent that us playing by the rules and hoping they are enforced across the board is not going to be a realistic route to making our legitimate financial strength as a club count to any meaningful degree.

True but Lammy is not on Haringey Council he's an MP , it was local councillors that approved the extra events at the stadium, they want fans spending money in the local shops not not being whisked in and out as fast as possible.

There is also the point that if an extension was built and a certain amount of northbound trains were serving NP on match/concert days the service to Tottenham Hale , Blackhorse Rd and Walthamstow Central would suffer with greater gaps between trains.

Questions have been asked since 2002, the answer so far has been no , Levy has lobbied for it as well and got nowhere.

If and when any money becomes available for further transport infrastructure Crossrail 2 will get preference as it will provide far greater benefits to everyone.

FIFA and UEFA stink. They talked us into merging our FFP and adopt their PSR system.

As I understood it, FFP was about making sure that if investors left clubs then the club survives. It was supposed to work at all levels.

It clearly came from the same people that implemented VAR and don't bother using the laws of the game to officiate any more.

We are seeing more and more RIP Football moments nowadays.

They'll wait for crossrail 2 no doubt. Which will be another 20 years or so.

Haringay council though wan't it for the same reason lammy wanted it.
Something stupid like 75% of residents were on some sort of benefits. It is an area that needs gentrification. People paying council tax and not needing subsidies on rent. Then the council might actually have funds to use.

They touched on this. Said Lewis didn’t want to undercut Levy due them being long term friends and business partners. Wouldn’t rule out his kids doing that at some point though
