Eberechi Eze

Is it just me? Maybe its the many years of hopes gradually dying as each season gets under way. I`ve said before I am a pessimist especially where Spurs are concerned ( even my blood type is B Negative) but every Gooner I work with or cross paths with are convinced they are going to be signing Eze. Honestly I am getting Willian vibes about this.
Please reassure me someone and tell me we are definitely signing him. I am too old for this nonsense. Why do I let this team do this to me?

He’ll definitely sign for them, they’re his first choice, we only came in for him when they dropped out.

Yeah, cause everything in the media is true and we definitely were using Richy as part of the deal
I said it seems about right. And it does. I would honestly not be surprised. After all we are the club that had Solskjaer in the boardroom ready to sign only for the (admittedly previous) ownership to p*** him off so much that he walked out....

I guess that would have been beyond Arsenal
Thing is, if Arsenal had the funds and wanted him why didn't they just pay it before?
Havertz is nothing like Eze so don't understand the logic.
And yes I am annoyed we've fannied around and could have got the deal done a week ago for what amounts to £8m more. Instead of which we'll spunk the cash on 1 or 2 more 'for the future'!

Because the terms of the release clause probably meant all upfront. There's a reason they never activated it. It's not only 8m more in that sense
