I'm not sure who you refer to when you say other strikers were available at the time. Obviously, Saudi Sportswashing Machine scouts did an amazing job finding Isak. The England players of Solanke, Watkins and Toney never got me excited. In fact, I thought Toney was the best of them but everyone said that Solanke was the best stylistic fit. Vlahovic was always another name mentioned. Obviously, it is not our job to know the full spectrum of strikers that could replace Harry but my perception has always been that there is a dearth of great strikers across Europe. For me, it would have been a tough process.

All I've seen Spurs do is speculate on some really young strikers hoping one or two can come through. I hope that works eventually.

Sorry to be the arse but finding Isak really wasn't that difficult. He was one of the stand out young strikers in Europe. He was a bit gangly and his legs kind of got in his own way, but the talent was definitely there to be seen, I kind of remember him being compared to a young Henry. Again he was more one of those guys who you could see had the potential to be it, but whether it would ever come together was the question. There was no searching and sifting in terms of Saudi Sportswashing Machine, he was a very known player and he cost them £65m for a 22 year for a reason.

Risky to move both on (effectively you would be moving Richi, Solanke and RKM on). It would also (probably) dilute the money available.

Safer, sell Solanke, keep Richi (he can rotate out left as well), spend significantly on better CF and a RW option that could add goals

Move on Richi the following summer.

I'd prioritise LWF or RWF. We do have Kudus who although currently injured is of the required standard and the surprisingly good on the Odobert also to return. The right hand side actually looks well stocked quality and quantity wise, whereas on the we only have develop players who aren't of starting quality.

I think the player's contract status will dictate the strategy rightly or wrongly.

Richi has one year left. Solanke has until 2030. I have a feeling Richi will be sold whilst we can still get some money. Wouldn't be surprised to see him head back to Brazil actually. That probably leaves Solanke at least a year away from exiting the club.

Of course, the massive spanner in the works is the injuries to Xavi and Odobert. As you say, we have to be looking for more attacking channel players. Start of pre-season we'll be down to Tel, Kudus, Yang and Moore with perhaps some potential to play Souza or Spence further forward. Other than that, it's Kulu back in the wider space. We'll need a marquee signing.

I'd still love Morgan GW at the club. 17 goals and 7 assists is very impressive.
