Djed Spence

Udogie for me has a very, very high ceiling. I really believe he could play for a Real or Barca if he start avoid injury and play consistently. But I'd have Spence over him right now on basis of last night. He was exceptional IMO.

As others have alluded to, his consistency and focus seems to be an issue. Hopefully, this manager can help sort out that problem. MOTM for me last night and I also thought Sarr was magnificent.

For me he’s better than Udogie. Superb player.
I think this is an easy thing to say and is often said with players who don't play often vs a player who features most weeks.

Then said player gets more consistent game time and is exposed more. Spence has had some good games and some not so good ones, just like Udogie. It is easier to look better when you're not exposed to the demands of PL football week in week out and then fill in here and there

. If Udogie can shake his injury problems and get back to his old self, he is for me a better LB than Spence. Spence needs to show more consistency when called on, but is a great option to have for sure....

He played well last night for sure, hope Frank has told him that he has to stay focused for 90 minutes because [ imo ] he has had a tendancy to switch off when we are under attack.

More mature than Udogie, who is yet to realise his potential. The two of them are quality. With so much more to come. Rotating them and allowing them to run and run in each game could be piwerful. Spence’s speed last night was impressive.

He is a big game player and maybe not as good when games are more mundane?
