Daniel Levy - Chairman

Sorry I know there is an ENIC thread somewhere but i don’t currently have the mental faculty to find it, so the Levy thread will have to do.
Regardless of Levy/ENIC in or out, do these people really think they are influencing the actions of the club by marching up the High Road?

Seeing as lewis is in the bahamas and levy is in america not sure who they are marching against.
What are they marching for? Trophies? We won one last season.
Spend more money on transfers? We are one of the biggest spenders in europe.
A higher ratio of wages to turnover? Seems silly to be protesting about that.

We all want more success at spurs but so does every clubs fans.

There's a simpler argument. The transfer is only now permanent, and they are only now Spurs players. The transfer money is only now being paid and is coming out of the budget now.

You could build a very logical argument that the loan to buy strategy has been one of our most successful. When I look at the loans over time I see Palhinha, Danso, Tel, Kulu, Porro, Romero, Danjuma, Vinicius, Bale and Gio. Spurs have done a decent job of converting the right ones and releasing the others. The Tel conversion is slightly contentious to some. I guess Gio was the most contentious but definitely not at the time we converted him. I think most fans wanted him at that stage.

We also know that some deals have no option to send a player back anyway. It just helps our cashflow.

I wouldn't be unhappy with a loan to buy on Eze or Savinho.

When they were ACTUALLY about change (not necessarily removing Levy/ENIC) they were pretty credible, then they got infiltrated by the Levy Out crowd - not to mention the 'right type of fan' bollox.

Definitely signing Eze and Savinho now that they're on the job.

I’m amazed the amount of air time they get on here. If they’re insignificant and not worth talking about then why constantly post about them? I’m of the opinion that Levy and ENIC should go but I don’t really care what CFT have to say about it.

Its a big movement who have been very high profile, they are also disrupters on match days etc. I think its a hugely relevant subject TBH

Spending isn't aligned with the revenue we generate?? If macarons like them ran the club we'd be bankrupt within a week.

I find the whole "we had loads of fans message us after a loss" really problematic if thats your main driver to protest. We all know how social media works, we would have protested 22 times last season based on bad results, surely someone needs to be abit more thoughtful on it and say "well maybe its the emotion of the result"

It all seems abit whipping up of a frenzy

How have they been disruptive on match days? Not saying they haven’t been btw but I didn’t notice anything last season.

Well I mean it in the fact that have held mass protests, which is hugely visible and gains press, in that way I mean disruptive, not in the bovva boys sense haha.

They clearly have huge traction and I don't think its hugely unwarranted, for balance, but I find alot of it hugely misinformed and misguided at times

As I have said before....much (most) of this is about your emotional needs being met. When they're not, perceived or otherwise, ones reaction (as everyone here would have experienced if they have family and friends) will depend where you fall on the emotional intelligence curve.

Being a sport and something everyone loves, I would wish more than anything that it was just purely emotionally driven.
But the game itself is further away from that scenario than ever. It's big business.

The thing that is quite strange is that we did actually WIN something last season and that event doesn't appeared to have moved the needle with some supporters.

CfTs messaging is so weak and flimsy and looks to be driven by emotion. When that's raging...it's a barrier and a turn off for anyone you hope to engage with, (obv not the like-minded) especially if your mission is to speak to the club

Yeh I find their messaging too long too, there needs to be, IMO just say one clear message with 3 realistic achievable or realistic views of alternatives. Thats just my view.

They have a name in Change for Tottenham but they can not articulate what that Change looks like

I also think to meet the club half way or to gain official status/buy in from the trust and FAB they need to have clear guidelines on expected behaviour, which is why I don't think taking requests from fans after a defeat and acting on them sets the right path, its endorsing the emotional madness of it all.

They don't bother me one way or the other; I suppose I just don't pay much attention. I haven't actually noticed them doing anything, disruptive or otherwise tbh. These "mass protests" have involved about 15 people, haven't they?

As long as the protests are peaceful and don’t spill over into intimidation or violence then I don’t see the issue. I mean if you can’t protest after 25 years then when can you.
