Yeah I know we got out literally just in time!
The last 60 hours was pure torrential downpour and satellite reports showed a hurricane due to hit Jamaica this morning then carry on straight at Cuba!
Our hotel was ran by the Iraqi minister or information though - it was only other people at the airport who told us this!! They've all been told no one will be flying out today whereas in our hotel we'd been told nothing!

No idea what kind of snake and it was a fairly old guy so may have been a heart attack due to shock or something. A Girl we met out there fell and broke her ankle on some wet stairs (it turns out a maid walked down the stairs with dripping mops over her shoulder a minute or two earlier!) and while she was in the medical room this guy was put on the bed next to her foaming at the mouth with people jumping up on him punching his chest. He died in front of her coz they didn't pull the curtain across!!!

Japan is bat brick insane, it's immense.
Might be volunteering in Cuba next year, looking forward to it.
