When a top player is on the market, elite clubs always find the money to purchase them. He is 28, approaching the prime years for a centre back and we won't be demanding an outrageous amount - if he is as good as some on here like to think he is there will be no shortage of offers...

Im sure there will be, he would improve alot of good sides

It's a shame that they don't seem to think so. They don't really need him so unless they felt he was going to take them up a level I doubt they will chase him.

Definitely, the issue is more so how much of a transfer fee would it require to get him and that's where it narrows the options down considerably unless we are willing to listen to offers that might not match the expectations of our fan base. There just aren't many clubs out there willing and capable of playing £60m for a CB. At £40m (and maybe with some smart add-ons) I think we'd get a fair bit of interest.

We just sold a CB who has never kicked a ball in the PL for 50 mil.

I think there are many fans on here who would love us to sell him to another PL team! I am not one of them.

But I get your point and the only teams that could afford to pay 60ml for him are the size of clubs which he should be playing for if he were to leave us. If they wanted him and he in turn wanted to join them, they would find the money.
