He really was outstanding last nightTop,top player and i really hope he stays and we give him a new contract.

Sadly that seems to be the case so far. IF we had him fit for a whole season we would be a much tighter defense. Fingers crossed that he does stay and can stay fit.He really was outstanding last night
The issue is his injuries and availability

We really need to keep players with the winner's mentality and likes to scrap. He complements Son as v.captain.
The new contract is the main thing. We can’t keep him without that. So it will soon become clear what he wants to do.Top,top player and i really hope he stays and we give him a new contract.

he can't play high line 2 CB defence and racing against attackers. not VDV either. no one canSadly that seems to be the case so far. IF we had him fit for a whole season we would be a much tighter defense. Fingers crossed that he does stay and can stay fit.

Still think that should be Kulu. Romero and Gray as vicesAnd the captaincy.
And the captaincy.
Yes, he gets caught out sometimes. It is a big risk with how he plays. We definitely got lucky yesterday, and I do wonder how much more assured a player like Vuskovic will be for us down the line. Honestly though, just for the mental side of the game, Romero seems to have that under control. I think a large part of why we won yesterday was our increased physicality, which Romero also brings. I think playing physically is good in a final, but I'd personally also like to see possession, because defending all game is too much work and too risky in general.Romero is excellent at loads of things
BUT! Him rushing out causes many of our chaotic moments. We’ll be looking decent and organised, then he chases upfield to attack someone.
Look at this, he suddenly sprints out and tried to nick the ball from Zirkzee but failed, so Mazroui can whip it onto Fernandes’ head and Porro has 3 or 4 men to mark AGAIN!
Romero (circled) is jogging back, hoping Bentancur can cover for him as usual
