Who cares where the fudge he is. He’s off anyway. It’s a bad look, but I can understand him wanting to see his boyhood club maybe winning something instead of us potentially going down. He never should’ve been the captain in the first place, obviously, but we all knew that. Sell him and move on, no point being bitter about him not fudging sitting in the stands tomorrow - what difference does it make? He will be gone, we’ll get someone else in, and no one will care a couple of months from now.

Honestly if you don’t think it says something about his leadership that he chooses not to be there, that’s ok and we can agree to disagree. I think it says something.
I was making a general point, if the captain is not the most committed, then other players will follow that lead. There’s very likely already an excuse making culture in the squad that stems from him.
