He's not a good captain and not that good a defender. I've always been sad to see our good players go, I will genuinely not feel anything element of sadness when he does.

Since he's been out injured I don't recall there being many comments about how much we miss him - because we don't....

He's a complete liability, not alone of course, but he's meant to lead by example.

Mistake prone, injury prone and suspension prone.
 
Ally Gold had said a couple of days ago that Argentina were sending a medical team over here to work with Romero ahead of him joining the world cup squad so that he could be here with the team.
But then someone in Argentina posted a photo supposedly of Romero at an airport in Argentina saying he was out there for the fort all on Sunday. Disappointing at best from our captain if it’s true.
 
Tim Vickery confirmed on Talksport that Romero was now back in Argentina to watch his former club Belgrano:
"He will be at the final of the Argentine Championship between Belgrano and River Plate,".

At least it is nice to know where his loyalties lay.

No wonder we're on the verge of sinking when our captain played for a club called Belgrano!
 
I'd love Tim Vickery to be talking nonsense but I actually doubt he is.

We'll be shocked to see Romero in a Spurs shirt again. I have a sneaky feeling RDZ is glad he's not around. That allows the emergence of the other leaders in the camp.

None of what has been said was not applicable before this latest episode.

And if we had heard this sort of news when Son was captain, it would have been met with posters literally not believing it's true. With Romero? Well, no one is really surprised and that says it all about his tenure here....
