Cristian Romero

Pleased with that.

Other than VdV he’d be the player I’d be most sad to lose — I know it’s slightly controversial but love the guy, love that he’s tough as nails, and love he takes no brick.

COYS!

So now being named club captain looks like Romero here for another season , amazing how our "poorly" paid players agree to stay at Spurs under the miserly Levy, last year Cuti was being linked to a 70 mill move to Real Madrid.

With the caveat that i have no idea about the new signings personalities, I'd make Kulu vice-captain. And maybe add Gray and Tel to the leadership group based on the traits they display.

Surely Porro should be in that leadership group, as always gives his all plus was the only starter to avoid injury last season.
I wouldn't necessarily conflate enthusiasm and dedication with leadership. In Gray and Tel I see a calmer maturity that they will (and are already) instructing others.

Eze would also be an excellent VC, noting the 'after the transfer window' comment for a scenario like that

"Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven started just 11 games together in the Premier League last season
Meanwhile in the Europa League, they played every minute for Spurs from the quarter-final to the final, conceding just 2 goals in those 5 games."

He'll be so key to us if he can get to be part of a settled defence.
