Having given over any shred of freedom to their govts.
Just packing now for a long weekend in Tasmania, the flight is a short one but I look forward to returning to the skies for the first time in about six months. I'm not back in Melbourne for long, before going up to the Great Barrier Reef for Valentines Day. Also going to watch the Australian Open tennis (Grand Slam event before you start belittling it), not to mention numerous bbq's, poker nights, dinners etc in-between. Retail economy is apparently breaking records in terms of it's economic recovery, something I know means a lot to you. Also the second hand car market, another your pet loves, is in full flow. If you like I could even look up how the bleach sales industry is doing in case you fancied applying for a job?
In terms of handing over my freedom to the government, yes I stuck to the rules during lockdown but I can say with utter conviction that I would do it all again for what it has allowed us to do since lockdown lifted in late October. They have no idea any more than Boris and co do with you, as to where I am from one moment to another. If I need to fly back to the UK to visit sick family, that is allowed, otherwise I struggle to comprehend what rights you feel I have forsaken. I'm sure you'll tell me..
