Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

I don’t know - I don’t have anything against them whereas Chelsea on two occasions got out of jail when they should have been left to curl up and die.

United have been bloody great at times.
In the late 90s/earjy 2000s when it was them and the goons battling it out for the league, they pretty much became my second team as it was a case of anyone but Arsenal winning so I still have a soft spot for them

I think they’re in trouble next year unless they get lucky with recruitment. Cunha will help but he won’t solve everything

I don’t mind United. They broke Liverpool’s dominance and stopped Woolwich. But this is a disaster for them. Their finances are a mess. To give an idea of what this has cost them, aside from prize money and CL, the have to refund Adidas 10m for not getting into Europe apparently.

To me they will always be the biggest club in the country, not a popular view but as a kid I remember the whole country wanting them to recover from the Munich tragedy. The team with Best, Charlton, Creand and Law were great to watch in an era when we weren't told what to think by media and admired the game not just our clubs.

Do you think their rise to being the top club was in big part due to sympathy because of the Munich air crash?

You think they will be able to buy him now??

Liverpool were always in 2nd division when I started going in 1958 they came up in 62/63 season. Took them a year to adjust but they kicked on from there.

Interesting again. Was it just blind luck that Liverpool kicked on from that point? Or was it related to something about football being bigger in the North West industrial areas at that time?

It was the right manger coming in and they also had some money too
Don’t forget the only reason Liverpool even exist is because Everton refused to pay the rent increase on Anfield
