As long as we beat another English team playing in red who play crap football and are desperate to win to get the "not won a trophy in ages" off their back before sacking their manager half through the next season.
OK , if that's the case he is not going to make the CL squad which gets named next week , so Gallaher in plus another two but two will need to drop out if we want to register three. Not expected to be able to participate in World Cup qualifiers, and those are taking place end of March.
All of them. Atletico probably the strongest, but we got properly beat by Gala. Club Bruges are much better than people think. Proper team in the same mould as Bodø/GlimtSo, who out of Club Bruges, Galatasaray, Athletico Madrid and Juventus would be the worst for us to face?
Next desicion is the squad for the round of 16 which is in March , we had 22 on the original A list shown below which I assume is still our numbers limit. We can register three new players , Gallaher in place of Johnson is guaranteed but which injured players do we leave out as Kudus, Bergvall and Davies are unlikely to be available until the quarters if their recovery goes to plan , might as well leave Bentancur out probably not back until May. Squad has to be named end of next week.

Yeah the draw is part of it but it's always referred to as "luck of the draw" and, without wishing to diminish what we've achieved, we got somewhat lucky. I've seen people say we finished above Barca, Madrid and PSG. While we did, it's not really a good indicator of anything because this wasn't a league in the meaningful sense of the word - we played 8 games, we didn't play everyone twice.Yes, but two things
- The draw is always part of cup competitions
- Bodo and Copenhagen are two perfect examples, teams that people would say are brick and easy wins, except they both got results and made life very difficult for good teams.
Our physicality and the pace of European games will mean we typically look better in Europe vs. PL (where it doesn't stand out). The barometer is probably somewhere in the middle of the two standings
proper dingdong Van Dyke vibesYes that works. Sounds good now!
the one who wins through the rounds? So, who out of Club Bruges, Galatasaray, Athletico Madrid and Juventus would be the worst for us to face?

And we're really stacked with quality players avaliable now.....We played our reserves v Gala tbf
