He was brilliant last season, but rather anonymous this season. Supposedly struggled with some personal issues. Worth a punt, I suppose!

Feel like this is just a lazy we’re gonna get linked with players at RDZ former clubs which happened for Brentford last summer and Celtic before that.

Be unreal signing though.

Less than Beleba? Spending £80 I would prefer a certain upgrade
I never suggested we should go for Baleba, nor do I think we should. I was merely pointing out his strengths and weaknesses.

He is not what we need, lost his place in the team last season and will demand a transfer fee which I don't believe correlates with his talent.

A case in point this one regarding the perils of the transfer market - last season he'd have been seen as a major coup, even at the high price he would have commanded - a year later and his stock has fallen to a point where Brighton fans don't consider him a worthy starter.

What a 'field' to work in, football transfers - so much money being invested & gambled on such fluctuating 'assets'

There's a significant detail about Baleba that makes him a better fit than Palinha. He can take the ball on the turn. So important for a possession based team to help us break the lines. He's a significant better fit than Palinha. Palinha is very good but at his age and the fact we don't own him, I'd think Baleba is a no brainer if we are upgrading
