Can Bale be bettered? I know he’s not as loved as Kane and King, but he was the best in his prime. Unplayable. He made world class defenders look stupid, was on another level at times.

If you are looking at pure impact and what they did at the club and what they did when they left, Bale and Modric are by far our best ever players IMO, obviously Greaves done well where ever he went and Hoddle was just Hoddle but non of those players had the impact Bale and Modric had on the pitch not only for our club but also at Madrid.

If you are looking at literal (not favorite) best players of Spurs modern era, it's three -> Bale, Kane & Modric, Bale to your point destroyed teams but Modric ran entire games, Kane is a unique 9 & 10 combination that even now is scoring at almost a goal per game, if Spurs were a better side his numbers would have truly been spectacular.

Would have loved to have been my dad who, as a kid, got passed down to the front with the rest of the kids when the old WHL had massive crowds.
