That ‘chance’ came from a complete fudge up by Vicario, spilling an absolutely routine catch. Even then, I always thought VDV was favourite to clear it.
Just on that last point:
Hojlund's header was poor (in the context of having about 90% of an open goal to aim at where there was zero chance of anyone getting to it)
Even though he put the header in the one place where there WAS a defender, given he'd aimed the header high, and VDV had to react, see the chance to salvage the situation and in a fraction of a second adjust his not inconsiderable body to give him the launch capability of getting off the ground in the only way he'd be able to have a chance and then accurately time his mid air kick to clear it.

Anyone who thinks he was "favourite" to make that clearance hasn't attempted a kick like that in a real crowded/fast pace situation....as I've said you replay that incident over snd over and its a goal for them 9/10

I thought he could’ve just headed it away.

Replay that incident over and over and Vicario catches it 9 out of 10 times (really good keepers 99 times out of 100).

Telling that the very best chance Man Utd had in the game came from a basic mistake from our keeper that would very rarely be made)

Would absolutely love Grealish here. Read somewhere him and Maddison get on too. The thought of them two and Kulusevski in the same team makes me moist not going to lie!
He'll be 30 before the start of next season and we already have enough players for the left winger. With two years left on his contact it would be wasting money that is needed elsewhere.

The athletic component of the clearance is impressive, the rest of it is bog standard defending

Go watch the whole play, Vic comes out, calls it, Solanke doe not get out of the way, leads to the weak bounce back to Hojlund, VDV is already positionally aware and covering. It literally is nothing more than a top level CB defending correctly

I've attached a screenshot as the ball gets to Hojlund, VDV has already moved behind the back line, eye on ball, central position, waiting

Bruno had a clear header central to our goal. Thought he was going to score myself and for him particularly was a great chance.

As to 9/10 take point on keeper error i am more taking about what happens 9/10 when ball comes out in the penalty box to a PL striker with an open goal and your keeper stranded in no-man's land.

I don't think Vicario is very good in those situations though. Think Kinsky will be no 1 eventually

It was a genuinely shocking game, terrible. Would never want to watch the full 90 mins again. But that was the beauty! Spurs got the goal, then made the game go that way. I very much enjoyed the desperation and fight in our play. I absolutely prefer wave after wave of attack, but there's a time and place.

Winning a cup by parking the bus, finally Levy got what he was expecting his idol Mourinho to do!

Hopefully Postecoglou can start next 25/26 like he did 23/24 and avoid the dreaded third-season syndrome.

Fine mate, just bog standard defending, nothing to see there.....wa....no wait hang on, if literally anyone shown that still that knows anything about football (but didnt know the outcome) is asked to guess what happened they're going to say goal 9/10

It's bog standard defending at an elite level

Watch the still mate, the CB is covering, the attacking player is at penalty spot range having to head a ball with zero pace on it. What makes it difficult is the height (hence my acknowledgment of athletic ability required, but these are elite athletes)

It's not some given goal that had to score. Same as the shot later in game, decent save from Vic but nothing more at this level.
