Mid season yes Id agree - but first couple of months I'd say not necessarily. Redknapp took over after 8 games, Conte took over after a couple of months and both first seasons with them were good. If results were as they have been in the league for the first month or two then he has been given more than enough opportunity and there is still enough of the season left to both attract another manager and for them to have enough time to save the season.U
Sacking him mid season is worse for us long term than sacking him in the summer. There are fewer options available and we might have unsuited or unwanted signings.
If we don't fire him in the summer then we need to commit to him getting the whole season again, pretty much no matter the results because it's otherwise going to be another wasted season. With a other new man having to get to grips with the existing squad without the possibility of reinforcements.
And the whole point of our recruitment for players and manager is that the manager is aligned with the players available and we have a mostly young, talented hungry bunch which most managers would be happy to work with....
