Why are illegals not proactively self deporting?

Because in the case of Renee Good and Alex Pretti ICE were in that location because they had warrants to arrest and detain illegals that had been identified in the exact ways you suggest they should. But they get prevented from doing that by “protesters”.
So ICE cannot do what you ask. They also can’t be aggresive. So the only solution that remains is self deportation by your own logic.

What utter tripe
Don’t try and play the morality game. The deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti are both tragic and I have said the shooters should be charged with Murder. But so are the murders of Laken Reilly, Jocelyn Nungare, Rachel Morin, Victoria Harwell, Ivory Smith and too many others to mention. All murdered by illegal immigrants. Il take a long shot bet you have not made a single post about those deaths on this forum.
Trump was elected by the American people with a mandate to seal the border and deport ALL illegal immigrannts. A policy that still has a 55% approval rating according to CNN with over 90% wanting illegal immigrants that have commited crimes in the US being deported.
In most states, the process of deportations is smooth and doesn't make national news. The reason for that is because local authorities are cooperating with ICE. But Minneapolis has taken a different approach. They've engaged in a campaign of massive resistance to federal authorities.
I would have no problem with people peacefully protesting and making their opinions known, but that's not what's going on here. It’s highly organsised operations designed to thwart the enforcement of federal immigration law that’s wanted by the majority of the population.
They are communicating in encrypted chat groups.They're stalk and dox ICE agents which. They follow them around the cities and surround them at their hotels which is why they have to wear masks. They use their cars to block roads, and they use bullhorns and whistles to alert criminals who are about to be arrested.
As a reminder, ICE is a law enforcement agency. There have been examples of them engaging with citizens without warrants and that should not happen. But in Minnesota, and in the locations where Renee Good & Alex Pretti were killed they had warrants to arrest identified illegal immigrants, many of whom are criminals.
These are dangerous missions that are being undertaken by ICE and these “protestors” are interfering and making these missions even more dangerous. You are trying to portray them as simple innocent bystanders peacefully protesting ICE policies when they were not.
Renee Good was specially out that day to prevent ICE agents from performing their federally mandated duty. I personally think the ICE agent murdered her but the law signed in to place by Tim Walz in 2020 may disagree, as it classes a vehicle as a deadly weapon.
Alex Pretti however was even more reckless and I will go out on a lim and say more information will come out about him in time. But we have seen the video. Does that excuse him being killed? No. But let’s not pretend this guy was just a peaceful protestor. He was a foot soldier that brought a gun with him. He had a conceal carry license but did not carry his ID with him which is a requirement and then intervened with law enforcement, which is a crime waving his 2nd amendment right. Yet we have posters here trotting out Pro Gun NRA talking points suggesting that anyone can carry a gun anywhere and as long as they don’t draw it to shoot hes not putting his life in danger. You even have the media altering his photos to make him seem less threatening to the US public which is truly sick.
I feel sorry for Good and Pretti because they were the victims of a tinderbox that was created in Minnesota by the extreme rhetoric and decisions of Governor Tim Walz and Mayer Jacob Frey. The local police in Minneapolis should have been allowed to keep conditions safe on the street by creating a perimeter and keeping genuine protestors away from ICE officers who were executing lawful warrants of arrest. But the police have been told to stand down and the agitators stepped in to take advantage.
It was inevitable that some sort of tragedy was going to result from this abdication of public safety. What we should really be asking is what is motivating Walz and Frey to put citizens at such risk.
