American politics

He was nominated for the position by the President and voted in by a senate majority.

I see.

Very disappointing as I actually thought you'd be beyond this sort of nonsense.

Still, I'll note that you cannot properly answer the question because you know the truth and won't admit it.

Never forget that this 'White Knight of Justice' when it comes to smashing big Pharma and the money game in medicine is not beyond a compromised dollar himself.

We should definitely approach anything that someone is making a lot of money from with scepticism, but there's a balancing act of not doing more harm by not taking medication.

Now I have to say that I don't take any medicine that I don't have to take, even painkillers, or any "supplements".
I was vehemently against the mandatory covid vaccine. Due to personal circumstances I took the first vaccination, circumstances that affected my personality, under normal circumstances I would not have taken it.
I don't think my life was ever at serious risk, my life, not saying anyone else was in the same situation.
The lie, and it was a lie that much has been admitted, that the vaccine stopped it spreading meant that me taking the was imho pointless.
Do I think the covid vaccine was dangerous to 99% of the population, no, do I think it has caused adverse reactions in some, yes.
But there are some unfortunate people out there who have reactions to what most of us consider benign substances, it doesn't mean we all will.

I’m not going to get into Covid or the Covid vaccinate that’s a whole entire other conversation to be honest.

We should definitely approach anything that someone is making a lot of money from with scepticism, especially when they are excerpt for legal action as a result of injury from that product and those companies are proven to have lied about product safety countless times before.

Food as a trigger is an interesting one as our diet has changed hugely over the last 30 years.
I also think other environmental factors are possible causes, too much screen time way to young, less time outside, less actual physical contact time with others due to smaller families and working mothers.
The changes in our habits over the last few decades have been massive so there's a lot of possibilities.

Yes, whisper it quietly though eh ;-)

How else am I meant to answer the question? He does not have a medical background. I don’t think it’s a necessity to have to have a medical background to qualify for the role. Nearly half of the HHS since the 80’s have not been medical professionals.

Im a huge believer that food and environment is a massive driver in all this.

I'll tell you what I find sad about our 'discussion' on vaccines and healthcare @robp135 . I am happy to take your POV on and look to discuss it honestly and with the perspective that some of what you're saying is worthy of note. You seem unhappy to do the same, instead only making glib one line comments in responses to attempts at a genuine discussion.
What happened?
Are you feeling cornered? That is not the objective at all from my perspective...

I was interested as to whether you held an opinion on the matter. It's clear that if you do, you are uncomfortable sharing it. Just be honest.

I don’t really see what your looking for here to be honest. My answers are pretty clear.

This should apply to all areas of government operation TBH.

100% and I never really understood why vaccines gets a feee pass.
They dont, but equally because of Covid perfectly safe vaccines have become a target for lies and false information campaigns.

Forget the US here because as you have said its not comparable to the UK, but the false narrative around vaccines thats been spread on the internet post covid has seen a massively dangerous drop off in recent years in vaccinations that have cause no deaths and saved nearly 2m lives since their introduction into modern society.

Thats where this conversation originated, not about given all vaccines a 100% pass.

OK. May I ask why? What is it that makes you trust this man to make the right decisions across the board?

I don’t trust him. I have a tendency to support those who have been on the outside of the political establishment. Which even as a Kennedy he has been. I can’t say I know enough about who would be other candidates to judge if they would be better or not.

I can only tell you that I question the safety of vaccines due to my wife’s experiences and he has been one of the most prominent voices asking that question.

To be clear though. The only comments I’ve made about RFK in the forum prior to you asking me about him were that my wife was a big fan of his, and defending the post that Marty made where he challenged Fauci, who ultimately did back down and admit RFK was right on that one particular issue.

There have been deaths though.

There have been deaths though.
I've asked for a week for that info and no one has been able to produce it, other than a cut and paste from a chat bot citing the US.

If you can produce a link or report to deaths in the UK caused by the MMR vaccine since 1988, I am really keen to see it.

I appreciate the answer and apologise if I suggested earlier you appeared disinterested in discussion. We only know each other via written posts, and without the context of meeting someone it can be hard to determine their 'way'.

Did I? I dont think I actually even replied to your last post about that.....

I actually spent ages looking for a statement from Fauci saying he sent the data but could only find one where RFK claims he told him he would send the data, so I gave up.
