Trump hatred aside ??
Is it not a good thing to stop the biggest state sponsor of terrorism on this planet from being able to potentially launch a nuclear missile ??
They have been potentially launching a nuke for neigh on thirty years by all accounts, yet here we are today still with clear skies.
However, I agree that having a nuclear-armed Iran would be a very dangerous thing but we're walking round in circles in how to go about the "stopping" part and have been for decades (ever since the Islamic Revolution) with diplomacy, external pressures, war - or combinations of the latter all seemingly failing.
The nuclear deal at the time was pretty good at rolling back their program imo, everyone got something out of it - but then the US pulled out in what 2018/19 (?) and applied sanctions again so Iran resumed, and likely accelerated, their program.
And while access is very restricted, there still hasn't been any definitive proof found of a weapons program (think the IAEA have still made this statement in recent days.) Do we believe Iran, very very difficult to say and tbh I'd err towards the no side - but again, no proof at all, their supported groups haven't used any such enriched device. If they are/were so close to a bomb, then the attacks will delay it by maybe 1-5 years depending on their success vs a hardened structure.
So now we're again pushing (thanks to carte blanche Israel, can't be touched despite anything) towards a potential wider war or regime change - and foreign backed regime changes have always worked well in the past, haven't they...
