I get why people are saying higher given the spend, but those players actually have to knit together. I think we are due a fair few performances like the Saudi Sportswashing Machine one where we play ok, don’t take chances and lose. As it all comes together this will change a bit and we’ll get some momentum, however I think too many teams will have pulled away from us by that point.
Of course you never know with other teams and their form, too many variables. I think if anything it’ll be next season when we really push on when players are used to each other.
There might be an outside chance of getting a European place this year, but personally I think it requires cup winners to push the Euro spots down the league and maybe we sneak it in 7th/8th
